Current DSE candidates may lodge advance applications for about 430 full-time locally-accredited self-financing/subvented post-secondary programmes that are not covered by JUPAS via E-APP

E-APP Introduction Video
“e-Navigator” mobile application (app) - A life planning tool that facilitates students to search across different local institutions for programmes of different levels including degrees, higher diplomas, associate degrees, the Diploma Yi Jin and other programmes on the Qualifications Register. Users are advised to update “e-Navigator” app to get the latest information for further studies.

About 6,000 local programmes from JUPAS, iPASS, the Diploma Yi Jin and Qualifications Register are available for searching
Provide last year’s admission scores of respective JUPAS programmes for reference
Provide links to the official webpages of individual programmes
Provide the latest programme information that is regularly updated
Study programmes information can be accessed anytime and anywhere
HKDSE Examination results can be inputted to search for programmes whose minimum requirements are met
Bookmark records of programmes searched for future reference
Programmes information can be shared with classmates, parents or teachers through emails
Life Planning Information Website
Provides students, teachers and parents with information related to life planning education, including local and non-local further studies
Contains careers information, entry requirements, career ladder and pertinent training for more than 280 types of work covering 21 traditional and emerging industries
A variety of videos concerning experience from practitioners, parents and students
Non-means-tested Subsidy Scheme for Self-financing Undergraduate Studies in Hong Kong (NMTSS)
Student Eligibility
The non-means-tested annual subsidy will be provided to Hong Kong students who have attained –
“3322” in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination when they are enrolled in eligible self-financing first-year-first-degree programmes; or
sub-degree qualifications (i.e. after completing the locally accredited sub-degree programmes in relevant disciplines) when they are enrolled in eligible self-financing top-up degree programmes.
Annual Subsidy Amount (2022/23 Academic Year)*:
up to $33,200
(*Students in need may still apply for student financial assistance from the Student Finance Office of the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency in respect of the actual amount of tuition fee payable)

Vocational and professional education and training (VPET), which covers programmes up to degree level with a high percentage of curriculum consisting of specialised contents in vocational skills or professional knowledge, is a valued alternative pathway in addition to academic education. With an emphasis on application and industry input, VPET prepares trainees for joining designated professions and industries through nurturing their work skills for the future, applied knowledge in innovation and technology, as well as critical soft skills. Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications
Roles
The Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) is the Accreditation Authority and Qualifications Register Authority under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework in accordance with the Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications Ordinance (Chapter 592). The HKCAAVQ provides accreditation and assessment services related to quality assurance to education and training institutions, course providers and the general public. The HKCAAVQ, with its quality assurance work, supports the development of the Qualifications Framework and the development of education and training in Hong Kong.
"Planning for further study" Is the course you selected recognized by the Qualifications Framework?
Before making your decision on further study, you should find out whether the programme is quality assured, for example:
Has the institution awarding the qualification gone through the accreditation from the HKCAAVQ or is it a self-accrediting institution?
Institutions that obtained the accreditation from HKCAAVQ and self-accrediting institutions are listed on the Qualifications Register.
Is the programme recognized by the Qualifications Framework?
The Qualifications Register contains qualifications recognized by the Qualifications Framework, including information on the learning programmes and their operators.
Can my academic qualifications obtained overseas be assessed against the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework?
The HKCAAVQ provides academic qualifications assessment services to the general public, corporation and government departments / authorities.
What are the key features of quality assured learning programmes on the Qualifications Register?
The learning programme should include formal assessment(s);
The learning programme should be level-rated in the Qualifications Framework;
The learning programme should carry its award title in accordance with the Award Titles Scheme;
The learning programme should indicate its QF credit (please find the details at www.hkqf.gov.hk );and
The learning programme should be accessible to learners of Hong Kong.
